Caveat Emptor

NATCOM DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT LTD (trading as ntel) wishes to inform members of the public that it has not put up nor authorised any agent or agents to dispose of or assist in the disposal, either by way of sale, lease, assignment or transfer of any of its assets or properties nationwide.

NatCom Development & Investment Ltd (NatCom) acquired the core telecom assets, previously owned by NiTel Plc and MTel Ltd (Nigeria’s national fixed and mobile operators), in a guided liquidation process that was supervised and approved by Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Enterprises and a High Court appointed Liquidator. It was completed in May 2015, from which date the NiTel/MTel core telecoms assets were wholly transferred to NatCom’s ownership.

NatCom is publishing this notice to inform the general public that these assets have not been abandoned, nor transferred to any Organisations or persons and to dissuade prospective buyers from committing their funds to fraudsters and imposters purporting to sell or deal in any of these properties under any guise. The company wishes to reiterate that it is operationalizing its assets and has no plans to sell or dispose of any of its properties and anyone purporting to be acting on behalf of NATCOM for that purpose is an imposter and a fraud.

This notice, which has been communicated to Security Agencies nationwide, has become imperative as a means of checkmating the activities of impostors and fraudsters who under the pretext of representing NATCOM have been known to be defrauding innocent Nigerians.

Those caught in contravention will face the full wrath of the law, and anybody who commits money to these persons does so at his/her own risk.
